SPORTS INJURIES & REHABILITATION

Professional sports are consistently producing more incredible athletes with each passing year. Athletes tend to engage in rigorous training methods in an attempt to strengthen their bodies and prevent injuries. Despite the various training and safety methods athletes implement to avoid injury, pushing the body to new limits often results in musculoskeletal injuries.

Chiropractors are specially suited to treating sports related injuries. Chiropractors undergo specialized training that is specific to treating sports related injuries. In fact chiropractors undergo more training concerning sports related injuries than traditional medical doctors. Chiropractors are also skilled at helping athletes avoid many common sports injuries.

Many athletes lose valuable playing time due to sports injuries while others take pain medications and use ice packs to ease the pain from various musculoskeletal injuries. Unlike medical doctors, chiropractors treat the entire body as a unified system. Traditional doctors treat injuries individually, usually without consideration for the system as a whole.

Chiropractic care is closely related to the world of professional sports. Chiropractic care focuses on keeping the entire body healthy, in addition to prevention and treatment of sports related injuries. Whether you are a professional athlete or simply enjoy sports in a recreational setting, regular visits to a chiropractor can greatly reduce your potential for injury. Your chiropractor can also help enhance your overall performance. Why wait? Call for your consultation today!

KINESIO TAPING

Kinesio Taping is a treatment method that provides support and stability to joints and muscles. Unlike many alternative treatment methods, kinesio taping does not affect circulation or range of motion. This makes kinesio taping an ideal treatment for all muscles in the body.

Kinesio taping reduces muscle pain and inflammation, relaxes overworked muscles, and provides ongoing movement support throughout the treatment process.

Kinesio tape treats a wide array of conditions from muscle aches to headaches. This treatment has been used to treat carpal tunnel syndrome, back pain, neck pain, knee & shoulder conditions, sprains, and plantar fasciitis. Kinesio taping is also used as an athletic preventative injury method.
